Mrs. JoAnn Noe Smith JoAnn Noe Smith, 82, of Arab entered her heavenly home on Wednesday, August 25, 2021.

Mrs. Smith was born January 31, 1939, in Birmingham, AL. She served the Arab community as a member of the Arab City Council, Sewer Board and realtor with Century 21. She was a member of Arab Church of Christ where she taught children’s bible classes for 40 years.

She was married to her sweetheart, Frank Smith, for 63 years. She was a godly woman and exemplified the virtuous wife and mother of Proverbs 31. She loved her family dearly and her worth was far more than rubies. She and Frank shared many memories with the grandchildren with family trips to the Great Smoky Mountains, the Pancake Pantry and a stop for caramel corn for the return home.

She is survived by; Daughter: Renae Smith Jackson; Son and Daughter-in-law: David Smith (Kim); Daughter and Son-in-law; Staci Smith Simmons (Alan); grandchildren: Katherine Jackson Frick (Michael); Dalton Jackson; Sarah Leslie Smith Wright (Ben); Sydney Smith Newell (Mitchell), Connor Simmons Hughes (Cody); Channing Simmons Stewart (Dylan); Cole Simmons; great-grandchildren: Mary Lynn Wright, Todd Wright and Beckham Hughes.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank, and parents, Leonard and Josie Ann Noe.

The Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, September 26, 2021, at Arab Church of Christ. Visitation will be 2-3pm and service 3-4pm.

Memorials may be made to Arab Church of Christ or Wounded Warrior Project.
