William Wilford Parr, 74, of Empire, passed away May 7, 2024.
William was a coal miner for 32 years, and was an avid car man.
William is preceded in death by his children, Sherry Parr Walden and Eugene Parr; parents, Clarence and Ruby Parr; sisters, Iva Jean Key, Ruby Jones, and Joyce Miller; brothers, James Parr and Lawrence Parr.
Left to cherish William’s memory include his wife of 56 years, Elizabeth Ann Camp Parr; grandchildren, Racheal Walden Gilbreath (Jonathan), Kevan Walden (Kayla), and Cody Parr (Maria); great-grandchildren, Gage, Claire, and Jade Walden, Andrew Gilbreath, and Cashton Parr (coming in July), as well as other family members and many friends.
Visitation will be held Friday, May 10, 2024 from 6-8 pm at New Horizon Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be Saturday, May 11, 2024 at 12:00 at New Horizon Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Harold Spradlin officiating. Burial will follow at Phillips Chapel Cemetery.
