Mr. Bruce Wade Phillips, age 62, passed away on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at his home.
Mr. Phillips was the husband of Mary Phillips. They shared 40 years of marriage together. He was born on August 20, 1958 in Huntsville, Alabama to the late Junior Phillips and to Myra Phillips Connally.
Mr. Phillips was employed at Yulista as a Support Specialist. Prior to Yulista, he was employed at Medical Centers Home Medical Equipment for 36 years. He was a member of Grace Covenant Baptist Church. Mr. Phillips enjoyed working at home on their land. He will be remembered for his love and devotion to Christ and to his wife, for his strong work ethic and his sense of humor.
Mr. Phillips is survived by his wife Mary Phillips; daughter, Amanda Dorsett; son, Dusty Phillips, grandson, Miles Bagwel, granddaughters, Sienna Dorsett and Baylee Phillips; mother, Myra Connally; brother, Terry Phillips (Susan); chosen family, Jesse Henderson, Davis Barnett, Austin and Aleisha Mercado, and Mindy Bray.
Mr. Phillips is preceded in death by his father, Junior Phillips.
A visitation will take place at the Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until service time.
Funeral service will take place at the Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 starting at 11:00 a.m. with Clark Boaz and Jared Nelson officiating.
Pallbearers escorting Mr. Phillips are: Justin Phillips, Jesse Henderson, David Barnett, Adam Nelson, John Murphy, and Thomas Kirkland.
Interment will follow service immediately at the Mt. Olive Cemetery in Union Grove.
