Jerry Baxter Jones, age 84, died on Saturday, October 3, 2020, in Athens, AL. He was born in Pulaski, TN, on June 23, 1936. Jerry served in the United States Navy and was a retired electrician. He was preceded in death by his parents, Allen Buddy and Marjorie Menser Jones, his wife, Cleta Jones, his sister, Martha Biggerstaff, his brothers, George Allen, Ronnie and Eugene Jones, and his step-son Glen Eslick. Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 7, 2020, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon, with Graveside Services beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Lynnwood Cemetery. Survivors include his son, Terry Jones of Portland, TN, his step son, Jimmy Eslick of Lawrenceburg, TN, his step daughter, Sandra Chumbley of Pulaski, TN, his brothers, Jimmy Jones of Pulaski, TN and Albert Jones of East Peoria, Illinois, his sisters, Donna Leamann of Pulaski, TN and Joan Reddick of Gulf Port, Mississippi, 7 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.
