Michael Lynn Harper, age 49 passed away October 4, 2020. Mikey had a heart of gold and loved the outdoors, as well as cooking. His favorite things to do included spending time with his family and picking on his nieces and nephews. A Gathering of Friends and Family will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, October 8, 2020 at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home with a Celebration of Life Service to be held at 3:00 p.m. Mikey is preceded in death by his parents, Harvey Lee and Patsy Norwood Harper, and his sister and brother-in-law, Jill Harper Smith and Tony “Snake” Smith. Survivors include his sons, Michael Aaron Harper and Brieana Colson of DeSoto County, Mississippi, and Nicholas Blake Harper Moss and Kandice Leeann Moss of Lauren County, South Carolina, his daughter, Kayla Harper Compton and Garrett of Denver County, Colorado, his brother, Tim Harper of Pulaski, his sisters, Dawn Smith of Minor Hill, Leslie “Sis” Hood and Rick of Pulaski, Michele “Mickey” Gowan and Eric of Goodspring, and Melissa “Missy” Nave and Rodney of Minor Hill, his grandchildren, Harvey Garrett Compton, Leighton Harper Compton, Aaron Braxton Harper, Ivy Harper, Harper Lee Moss, Landon Allen Moss, and Rhylee Jo Moss, and Several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
