Dorothy Mae Elkins passed away at her home in Athens Monday, August 17, 2020. Mrs. Elkins, a lifelong resident of Limestone County was born March 17, 1928 to Ira and Loca Pack.
Mrs. Elkins was a meticulous homemaker and a member of New Hope Church of Christ for 78 years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, William N. Elkins, Jr. and her parents.

Survivors include one daughter, Gayle Lentz of Killen; three grandchildren, Michael Crowell and wife Natonya of Gulf Shores; Julita Nix and husband Lee of Florence; Felix Lentz of Warner Robins, GA; four great-grandchildren, Kenlee Nix, Cotton Crowell, Hannah Denton and Cole Barnes; brother, James Pack of Athens; sister, Sandra McCann and husband Wayne of Elkmont.

A graveside service will be Thursday, August 20th at 11 a.m. at Roselawn Cemetery with Bob Watson officiating.

Pallbearers will be Steve Pack and Randy White.

The Elkins and McCann families would like to give a special thanks to the wonderful ladies at Hospice of Limestone County whose loving care was such a comfort to the family. Also to our wonderful caregivers; Lisa Mooneyham, Gail Steadman and Mary Ann Smith – a special thank you.
