Marvin Largen Marvin Carter Largen of New Hope passed away peacefully at the age of 77 this week, he was surrounded by his loved ones.

To know Marvin was to love him, he never hesitated to help anyone that he felt needed it. He selflessly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and worked endlessly to provide for his family his entire life. He loved gospel music, going to church, and his family tremendously. He loved his kids and grandkids more than anything, and he loved to tell people how proud of was of them. He truly was one of a kind, a good, strong, and hardworking man that loved the Lord and his family deeply. He lived a long and fruitful life, and it gives his family great peace to know that he is with his Lord and Savior, where he always longed to be. He will be sorely missed and forever remembered by those that knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by parents, Gene and Daisy Payton Largen; son, Marty Largen; brother, Atlas Largen; sister, Brenda Sanders.

Surviving are daughter, Veronica Largen, sons, Brian (Amy) Largen, Jason Largen, Eric (Valerie) Largen; grandchildren, Ashton Largen, Carlee Largen, Ellie Largen, Caroline Largen, and Brady Largen; brothers, Billy (Trenda) Largen, Odis Largen and Merlon (Tenien) Largen; sister, Carolyn Kennamer.

Private services will be held.

Interment will be in the Hayden Cemetery.
