TUSCUMBIA-Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the board of directors and the City of Tuscumbia have chosen to cancel the 42nd annual Helen Keller Festial set for June 24 through 28.
The Helen Keller Festival is held each year to honor Helen Keller and her legacy. Helen Keller born in Tuscumbia over came monumental obstetricals to become the nation’s “First Lady of Courage”.
The message the festival and city want to express is an apology for any inconvenience and a hope that everyone stays safe during these uncertain times. The City of Tuscumbia and the Helen Keller Festival are looking forward to seeing everyone in 2021.
