ARAB–On Friday, December 27 the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a traffic accident involving two vehicles that has resulted in the death of one person. The accident occurred on Monday, December 23:
” A two-vehicle crash at 1:56 p.m. Monday, December 23, has claimed the life of a teenager. The 16 year-old female from Arab was a passenger in a 2008 Nissan Xterra pickup driven by Roger Dale Fortenberry, 67, of Arab.
The Nissan collided head-on with a 1998 Cadillac Deville driven by Kelvin Rex Hathcote, 49, of Hanceville. The juvenile, who was not restrained, was seriously injured and airlifted to Huntsville Hospital where she died today, Friday, December 27 at 5:38 p.m. Both driver were injured and transported to Huntsville Hospital.
The crash occurred two miles south of Arab. Nothing further is available as ALEA Troopers continue to investigate.”
