Lydia "Lil" Jung Mrs. Lydia “Lil” Jung, age 91 of Athens, AL went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 26, 2019 at her home. Mrs. Jung was born on April 5, 1928 in Cudahy, WI to Frank and Lydia Gilanyi.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ernst H. Jung and son-in-law, Chuck Carlson.

Mrs. Jung is survived by her four daughters, Beverly Jessen (Richard), Barbara Harberson (Doug), Shirley Carlson and Sandra Hansen (Bob); 15 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Lil loved the Lord and served Him faithfully. She was a member of the Lindsay Lane Baptist Church where she started and facilitated the Monday Morning Manna Ladies Bible Study. She volunteered at the Women’s Resource Center in Athens, AL. Lil loved to sing and play the piano. Her life verse was Proverbs 3:5-6. She loved butterflies as they symbolized “new life in Christ.”

The family will receive friends from 9:30-10:45AM, Saturday, December 28, 2019 at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with a service following at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Pastor Dusty McLemore officiating.

A visitation will be held at Proko Funeral Home in Kenosha, WI from 4:00-7:00PM on Monday, December 30, 2019 with a service at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park in Somers, WI. Burial to follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Lindsay Lane Baptist Church, Gideons International or The Man in the Mirror Ministry.
