KILLEN-On Wednesday, August 7 Lauderdale County deputies were called to a residence on County Road 456 in Centerstar near Killen where the bodies of two people were found in a car behind the home.
The bodies were of a man and a woman who were found by a family member who came to the residence to check on the people who lived there. The person doing the check discovered the bodies of the man and woman in a car behind the home. At this time it is still unclear how the two died.
Lauderdale County Sheriff Rick Singleton said the last time the victims had been seen was by the mother of one of the victims and the deaths are being treated as a murder/ suicide.
The deceased are being transported to the state forensics lab for positive identification and to determine the cause of death.
According to Singleton the investigation is ongoing and more information will be made available as the sheriff’s department receives it.
