Mattie was a lifelong resident of Colbert County and a member of Valley Grove Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening and providing fruits and vegetables for her community to enjoy.She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, Milton Isbell; parents, James Edmond and Mattie Dillard Byrd; brother, James Roy Byrd; and sister, Mildred Lennis McCollum.
Survivors include her daughter, Joan Isbell Fleming (Eddie); granddaughter, Molly Fleming King (Brian); great-grandson, Jaxson Lee King; special sister-in-law, Judy Keeton; special friends, Gene Wilbanks and Debbie King; and a host of other family and friends.
The family expresses special thanks to the staff of Alacare Hospice, especially, Jami Terry, Julie, and Deborah and to Dr. Brian Richards and his staff.
