Billy Ray Chamness – Obituary

 Billy Ray Chamness, 80 years old, of Moulton passed away Sunday, February 10, 2019 at His residence surrounded by all his family. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM till 2:00 PM on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at Lawrence Funeral Home with Bro. Marcus Lipscomb, Bro. Jamey Reeves and Bro. Darren Sparks officiating. Burial will be in Moulton Memory Gardens.

Mr. Chamness was a member of Pinhook Holy Church of Christ, and was retired from General Electric. He loved farming and his family.

Survivors include his wife: Mary Lee Woodard Chamness, two sons: Darel Chamness(Mary) and Tommy Chamness, one daughter: Donna Morris(Aaron), five grandsons: Chad Long, Joseph Chamness, Christopher Reeves, Jamey Reeves and Dylan Chamness, one granddaughter: Amber Hollis, nine great grandchildren: Bailey and Cooper Reeves, Alivia, Avery and Addilynn Chamness and Jorgee Hollis, Holt, Ellington, and Emerson Long, one sister: Betty Sue Cross(Dwight).

He was preceded in death by one daughter: Wanda Lee Chamness, his parents: Andrew John Chamness and Jessie Lee Marlow Chamness, two brothers: Andrew Junior “Buster” Chamness and Charles Edward Chamness and two sisters: Earline Bolan and Sibylline Smith.

Pallbearers will be Jamey Reeves, Christopher Reeves, Joseph Chamness, Chad Long, Dylan Chamness, Tim Cross and Evan Sparks.

The family extends special thanks to Southern Care Hospice and his special Nurse, Megan Terry.
