Elvie Ray Mayhall, 64, died Monday August 27, 2018, at the North Mississippi Medical Center. He was born January 22, 1954, to William Ray and Murley Hammock Mayhall. He was a member of the Red Bay Holy Church of Christ. He was a law enforcement officer for over 30 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Services will be at 2:00 p. m. Wednesday, August 29, at the Red Bay Holy Church of Christ with Bro. Roger Aldridge officiating. Burial will be in the Butler Cemetery. McNeece-Morris Funeral Home of Fulton is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include one son, William C. Mayhall (Becky) of Golden; two daughters, Cherry S. Mayhall (Douglas Gray) of Golden, and Angel Rice (Willie) of Red Bay; two sisters, Linda Ewing and Martha Chestnut, both of Golden; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one grandson, Cody Pickle; one step-daughter, Kim Swindle; and his parents.
Visitation will be from 5:00 -8:00 p. m. on Tuesday (August 28) and continue on Wednesday at the Church until service time.
