Funeral service for Mr. William “Bill” “Yank” James Rennie, age 76, of Fayetteville, TN, will be conducted at 3 PM on Sunday, August, 19, 2018, at Higgins Funeral Home with Dr. Jon Hathcock officiating. Burial will follow in Higgins Cedar Hills Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Rennie was born on January 23, 1942 in New York state to the late William Rennie and Cecilia Elizabeth Ramilli. He was an avid fan of Yankees Baseball and the New York Giants. Many knew him as “Bill” or “Yank” but his grandchildren knew him as “Poppy”. He loved them dearly as they were his pride and joy. After 40 years of service he retired from the TVA as a member of the Local 498 Pipe and Steamfitter Union He was a member of Fayetteville First Baptist Church. Mr. Rennie passed away on August 15, 2018.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Lee O’neal Rennie; daughters, Amanda Leigh Hazelbaker (fiance Chris Pigg) of Fayetteville, TN and Tracey (Dean) LaGrand of Springfield, VA; sons, William “Billy” James (Christine) Rennie of College Point, NY and Raymond David Rennie of Huntsville, AL; grandchildren, Jarrett Hazelbaker, Willie, Carly, Mary Helen, and Luke Rennie, Kyle and Austin Rennie, Makayla LaGrand, and Luke and Anna Pigg; sisters, Marjorie “Madge” (Tony) DiPippo of New York, NY and Joan Campbell of Danbury, CT; brother, Robert Rennie; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family will be held on Sunday, August 19, 2018 at 1 PM until 3 PM at Higgins Funeral Home. Higgins is honored to be serving the family of Mr. Rennie.
