Betty Yvonne Riggs
Mom was born in Hunter, Arkansa on June 8, 1936. To the late John Wade Junior and Cora Mae Nelson Junior. She married Glen Riggs in Las Vegas, Nevada in 1956 on their way to California. She was a member of Wheelerton Baptist Church. She was a perfect wife, a wonderful mother, a loyal friend, and a devoted Christian. Her imagination and love for her husband, son, grandson, granddaughters, and their mother was immeasurable. I will miss her fried chicken, and milk gravy, her smile, and her never ending outlook on life that everthing will get better, just let me worry and pray for you.
Mom was the youungest of nine children. She was the last of her siblings to pass. Mom was preceded in death by her sisters Myrtle Mae Riddle and Gladys Freeman, brothers, Woodrow Junior, Walter Junior, J.D. Junior, Ray Junior, and Eddie Junior.
She is survived by her husband, Glen Riggs, of Ardmore, TN, her son Jeff Riggs of Huntsville, AL,and her grandson Wade Riggs, and granddaughters Bayleigh and Gracelyn Riggs of Ardmore, TN.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM.
The Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, at 2:00 PM with Rev. Paul Mason officiating. Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens, Huntsville, AL.
Pallbearers will be Robin Beach, Greg Ellis, Greg Gray, Gary Henry, David Morgan, and Kim Nunley. Honorary Pallbearer John Irvin.
