Willie Bernice Goode Alexander, 88, of Killen died Saturday, July 14, 2018, at her home surrounded by her family.

Visitation will be Tuesday, July 17, 2018, 2-3:30 PM at Killen Church of Christ.  Funeral services will follow at 3:30 PM with Bro. Stan Dean officiating.  Burial will be at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.  Elkins East Chapel is assisting the family.

Mrs. Alexander was a 1948 graduate of Lauderdale County High School and a graduate of UNA with a BA, MA, Ed.S. in elementary education and library science.  She retired as the Librarian at Brooks Elementary.  She was a longtime Sunday school teacher, church Librarian, and an Elder’s wife at Killen Church of Christ.  She loved to entertain friends and family, opening her home to all.  She loved reading, frogs, and the color red.  Most of all, she loved a home full of her family, the sounds of laughter and fellowship brought joy to her heart.

Mrs. Alexander was preceded in death by her loving husband, Billy Alexander; daughter, Pamela Kaye Alexander; parents, K.P. and Lucille Goode; sister, Janice Barnett.

She is survived by her sons, Greg Alexander (Theresa), Mike Alexander (Donna), and Tony Alexander (Cindy); grandchildren, Amanda White (Bill), Julie Chris (Derek), Matt Alexander, Adam Alexander, Heather Young (Bobby), Laura Alexander, Lindsay White (Andy), Lacy Alexander, and Jay Alexander (Morgan); great-grandchildren, Austin, Takoda, Caalen, Logan, Storme, Clarissa, Sierra, Forest, Daisy, Silas, Summer, Sipsey, Baylor, Cruz, Zoey, Easton, Dylan, Cypress, Millie, and Savannah; sisters-in-law, Ruth Alexander and Christine Wilson; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Matt Alexander, Adam Alexander, Jay Alexander, Austin Harrison, Robby Young, Andy White, and Bill White.

The family extends their sincerest gratitude to Hospice of the Shoals (Carley and Norma).
