Betty Nell Perry – Obituary

Funeral service for Betty Nell Perry, 81, of Decatur, will be Wednesday May 9, 2018, at 3 p.m in the chapel of Ridout’s Brown-Service Funeral Home with Brother Todd Evans officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Perry was born March 17, 1937, in Greenville, Alabama, to Donald Dewey Kelly and Nellie Mae Kelly. She passed away Saturday May 5, 2018, in Falkville. She was a member of Parkview Baptist Church and was an avid seamstress and gardener. She enjoyed bowling and also travel, having visited all 50 states.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald Dewey Kelly and Nellie Mae Kelly; brothers, JD Kelly, Donald Kelly, Ralph Kelly and Kendrick Kelly; and sisters Mildred Gunter, Edna Miller and Mary Tindal.

She is survived by her husband, Ollie Perry; daughters, Denise May and husband, Don, Janice Waldrop, Karen Jenkins and husband, Stephen, and Cindy Carvin and husband, Russ; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
