It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Danny Ellis Faulk, a longtime resident of Paragould, AR who recently relocated to Huntsville, AL to be near his family. Danny joined our Lord and Savior on Saturday, April 21st while resting at the Huntsville Hospital Hospice Family Care, which had followed a short illness that was due to complications from a previous bout with cancer. Danny was preceded by his parents, Sherley and Rozella Jeffers Faulk, sister Sue Freeman, and brother Lynn Faulk. Danny is survived by his brother Gaylon Faulk, daughter Hallie McOlgan, son-in-law Dave McOlgan and his beloved grandson Manny. A veteran of the Vietnam War, Danny served with great honor as an officer with the Army’s 11th Armored Calvary where he earned the Bronze Star (2 awards) and the Purple Heart (also 2 awards). A graduate of Arkansas State University, where he was a member of the Eta Gamma Chapter of the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity, Danny was a lifelong supporter of both his brotherhood of ATΩ and the AState Red Wolves. Baptized into the congregation of Saint Stephens Episcopal Church in 2016, Danny was very active in his church and with his local veterans group. There will be two services held to honor his life. The first will be at St Stephens in Huntsville, AL at 3:00 PM on Thursday, April 26th, with a reception immediately following. The second will include a visitation from 1:30 to 2:30 PM followed by a memorial service on Saturday, April 28th at the Heath Memorial Funeral Home in Danny’s hometown of Paragould, AR.
