Two Die In Seperate Auto Accidents On Sunday

TENNESSEE VALLEY-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency report two traffic fatalities on Sunday, March 18.  A single-vehicle crash near Rogersville taking the life of a Rogersville Man and a two-vehicle crash near Ardmore taking the life of a Tacoma, Washington woman:

“A single-vehicle crash at 7:00 a.m. today, March 18, has claimed the life of a Rogersville man. Robert Nicholas Phillips, 28, was killed when the 2003 Honda Odyssey he was driving left the roadway on U.S. 72 and overturned.

Phillips, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash occurred just west of Athens. Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.”

 ” A two-vehicle crash at 10:25 a.m. today, March 18, has claimed the life of a Tacoma, Washington woman. Manisha Thaker, 33, was killed when the 2012 Chevrolet Equinox, in which she was a passenger, collided with a 2000 Volvo commercial farm truck.

 The Equinox was driven by Pinakin Dilipkumar Thaker, 36, of Tacoma, Washington.  Manisha Thaker was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Equinox and two child passengers were transported to an Huntsville Hospital with unknown injuries. The driver of the Volvo was not injured, but a passenger in the Volvo was transported to Huntsville Hospital with unknown injuries.

The crash occurred on Alabama Highway 251 at the intersection of Sweet Springs Road two miles south of Ardmore. Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.”
