Gerald R. Turney 80, of Lacey’s Spring passed away Saturday, February 24, 2018 at his residence. Mr. Turney was born December 12, 1937 in Morgan County, Alabama to Alonzo and Alice Sharp Turney. He was retired from Wolverine Tube after 35 years of service, he was a veteran and a charter member of the Cotaco Volunteer Fire Department. He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Linda Gail Turney, his daughter, Sedena Turney, and a brother Carleton Turney, also several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Monday, February 26, 2018 from 4:00pm until 7:00pm at Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Tuesday at 2:00pm at Hartselle Heritage with Brother Phil Lawrence officiating. Burial will follow at Center Springs Cemetery. Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family.
