Athens Police Make Arrest In January Mini Storage Burglaries

ATHENS-Police Chief Floyd Johnson reports an arrest in the burglaries that took place on January 27 of this year:

“Cecil Robert Elders Jr. was arrested last night (Wednesday, February 21) on three warrants for burglary third degree.

Elders is accused of cutting the locks off three storage units and taking property out of each of them.

The burglaries occurred on January 27, 2018 at AAA Mini Storage on Freeman Avenue. Elders took jewelry, computer equipment, furniture, and other assorted items.

Elders was booked at the police department and transferred to the county jail.”
