Mary Sue Clemons – Obituary

A Funeral Mass for Mary Sue Clemons, 79, will be Thursday, August 17, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Annunciation of the Lord Catholic Church  with Father Ray Remke officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Entombment will be in Roselawn Mausoleum.  Visitation will be Thursday, August 17, 2017 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Annunciation of the Lord Catholic Church.

Mrs. Clemons passed away on Monday, August 14, 2017 at Decatur Health & Rehab Center.  She was born April 25, 1938, in Morgan County to Acie Howard DeFoe and Martha Adaline Collins DeFoe.  She enjoyed being a stay-at-home mother to her sons and wife to Joe. She also enjoyed horseback riding and attending horse shows with her family.  After her husband’s retirement from Wolverine, they enjoyed riding their Harley and extensive travel around the country (especially the Trail of Tears).

She was preceded in death by her husband: Joe F. Clemons, her parents and three brothers: Acie Franklin, James Harrel and Tommy Lee DeFoe.

The family would like to say “Thank You” to the staff at Decatur Health and Rehab and to Comfort Care Hospice for their care and kindness.

Survivors include:

Two Sons:
Ronnie Clemons (Judy) and
Barry Lynn Clemons (Diane)

Three Sisters:
Betty D. Warren (Ray),
Nancy Walker (Bobby) and
Sandra Morgan (David)

Five Grandchildren

Pallbearers will be Family & Friends.
