Bill Falls Cleek – Obituary

Mr. Bill Falls Cleek, 88, passed away, Saturday, May 20, 2017 at the Hospice Care Center of Chattanooga after 6 months of declining health. He was born Palmer, Tennessee on March 27, 1929 to Hearl and Lillie Ross Cleek who preceded him in death along with his wife, Helen Caldwell Cleek; infant son, Jerry Cleek; brothers, Charles, Don and Gene Cleek; sisters, O’Lean Hart, Kennetha Suter and Shelva Jean Lewis.

Bill had been a truck driver and was co-owner of Cleek’s Garage in Gruetli-Laager working as a mechanic for many years on all types of equipment. He attended Gum Springs Church and often visited Bivens Chapel Church.

He is survived by his son, Jimmy Cleek, Gruetli-Laager; daughters, Connie (Robert) Sitz, Land O’ Lakes, Florida and Tammy (Jeff) Sholey, Coalmont; grandchildren, Mike and Kevin (Shannon) Sitz, Tara (Daniel) Casey, Cody (Sarah) Caldwell; great-grandchildren, Cian Daniel and Christian Brian Casey, Zoe Elizabeth and Rylee Quinn Sitz, Emma Rain Caldwell; a host of Nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with Minister Ernest Lockhart and Bro. Keith McBee officiating with burial to follow in the Fall Creek Cemetery. Visitaton: 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM Monday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee. www.laynefuneralhome.com
