Ellen Barber – Obituary

Mrs. Ellen Barber of Pulaski passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2016 at NHC Healthcare in Pulaski. She was born in Pulaski on March 2, 1916 and was 100 years old.
Mrs. Barber was a loving wife, mother, and sister, a member of Rehoba Methodist Church where she was church organist and treasurer for 60 years. She was a teacher at Glendale School however, spent most of her career as a bookkeeper at the Giles County Co-op in Pulaski. She loved music, working in her flower garden and traveling.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 21st from 12:00pm until 2:00pm at Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home.
A graveside service will follow visitation on Wednesday at 2:00pm in Maplewood Cemetery with Rev. Brad Smith officiating.
Memorial donations are suggested to the Charity of Your Choice.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Barber in 1952, her parents, Tom K. and Daisy Abernathy Brown, brothers, Milton Brown and Wilson “Pete” Brown.
She is survived by her,
Son, Dan (Susan) Barber of Pulaski
Grandchildren, Kim (Scott) Felt of Texas, Nicole (Ryan) Kelly of California, and Jessica Barber of Pulaski.
Three great-grandchildren, Brinna, Dylan, and Robert Felt of Texas.
Several nephews, nieces, cousins also survive.
