Carl Gardner Senn, age 77, died Thursday, July 9, 2015. Visitation will be Sunday, July 12, from noon until 2 p.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home of Florence. The service will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother Truman Sutton officiating. Burial will be at Pisgah Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Martin Lowery, Roger Scott, Greg Smith, Jason Staggs, Paul Gray, and Oakley Smith Jr. Honorary pallbearers are Oakley Smith, Lance Walley, David Carter, Kane Carter, Chase Senn, Chuck Senn, and Kristopher Burchell.
Mr. Senn was a U.S. Army Reserve veteran and attended Cowboy Church. He was owner and operator of Carl Senn Transport.
He was preceded in death by his second wife, Janet Beatty, parents, Q.P and Nannie Senn, son, Quinn Keith “Buddy” Senn, daughter, Cylina Senn, brother, Charles Senn, and sisters, Margaret Carnes and Betty Senn.
Survivors are the mother of his children, Barbara; children, Carla Senn, Bitsy Cochran, and Dinah Rheinschmidt (Dane); stepdaughters, Brandi McCravy (Eric) and Brandi’s mother, Janie Jones, and Gwen Vickers; sister, Nancy Smith (Oakley); eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
