TUSCUMBIA – Students, school staff and parents gathered this morning in the football stadium to commiserate with one another on the terrible loss of Tiger’s football coach, Jake Linville.
Linville, 41, died yesterday at his parents home in Collinwood, the apparent victim of a self-inflicted gunshot.
The scene at Tiger Stadium was somber on this morning. The gathering was surrounded by dense fog, which seemed to add to the sense of shock and loss for the beloved football couch. Teachers, school administrators and students addressed the audience that was quietly seated in the bleachers. Grief counseling is being made available to everyone affected by this loss.
