Billie Jo Young, 76, of Florence, passed away July 21, 2014 at E.C.M. Hospital. She was a member of Glendale Church of Christ, and retired after thirty years of service with the H.D. Lee Plant.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 24, 2014 from 6 – 8 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Friday, July 25, 2014 at 1 p.m. at New Hope Church of Christ with Carl Seigenthaler, Joel Caudle, and Wayne Wood officiating. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to services. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery.
Mrs. Young was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Waymon Burns; son, Dale Young; grandchildren, Ronica Adams and Shane Poe; sisters, Helen Brown, Gertrude Haddock; brothers, James Burns and Hollis Burns.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, James Young; sons, Donny Young and Kim Young; daughters, Delane Woods, Sherrie Davis, Lisa Grant; grandchildren, Gary Young, Melissa Witt, Brandon Davis, Kayla Crain, Julie Jones, Steven Young, Matthew Davis, Melanie Wright, Hayley Young, Jerrad Woods, and Jessica Young; twenty-four great-grandchildren.
Active pallbearers will be Brandon Davis, Matthew Davis, Jerrad Woods, Steven Young, Scott Grant, and Josh Witt.
Honorary pallbearers will be Archie Hensley, James Darby, and Harrell Barker.
