DECATUR-The Decatur Police Department took custody of a woman accused of stealing an automobile back in May 2014.  Here is how they describe the events leading up to the arrest:

SYNOPSIS OF OFFENSE & ARREST:

“On May 21st 2014, the Decatur Police Department received a call about a stolen vehicle in the 2200 block of Danville Rd SW. When Officer Birchfield arrived, he met with the victim who said that he was eating at a restaurant and after he was finished, he went to the parking lot to leave. The victim said that when he reached the parking lot, he noticed that his vehicle was missing. He told Officer Birchfield that he remembered a woman coming to his vehicle as he was entering the parking lot, asking him for a ride, and thought that she might have had something to do with the theft. Officer Birchfield took a report of the theft and entered the vehicle into a stolen vehicle database.

The following day, May 22nd 2014, Troopers with the Georgia State Police conducted a traffic stop on the victim’s vehicle as it was traveling north on Interstate 85. Once the vehicle was stopped, they made contact with the driver, Holly Marie Suszylo of Decatur, and confirmed that the vehicle she was driving was stolen from Decatur the previous day. Suszylo was subsequently arrested on several charges in GA and held in the Troup County Jail.

Det. Harris was assigned to the case and obtained a warrant charging Suszylo with Theft of Property in the First Degree for the theft of the vehicle. After satisfying her charges in Georgia, Suszylo was extradited back to Alabama and processed into the Morgan County Jail. At the time of her arrest, Suszylo had several outstanding warrants for probation violations through the District Court of Morgan County. She will be held in the Morgan County Jail in lieu of a $5,000 bond for the theft charge. However, Suszylo’s bond has been revoked on the probation violations.”
