Arnold Raymond Bergob – Obituary

arnoldArnold Raymond Bergob, 85, died Tuesday, April 15, 2014, after a brief illness. Arnold “Buddy” was born in St. Joseph, Tenn., and made his home in Florence after marrying Kathryn Wilson Bergob.
Mr. Bergob was preceded in death by two sons, Anthony and Michael Bergob; parents, Frank Clem, Sr. and Anna Josephine Bergob; brothers, Frank C. Bergob, Jr. and Wilford “Bill” Bergob.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kathryn E. Bergob; daughter, Debbie Watkins (Curtis); sister, Mary Frances Rozas, Baton Rouge, La; grandson, Charlie Watkins; granddaughter, Elly Collins (Guy); great-grandson, Joe Paxton Collins; nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Mr. Bergob was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He was a devoted member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, and the Knights of Columbus Catholic men organization. He touched many lives and will be truly missed.
The family will have a visitation Monday, April 21, 2014, at St. Joseph Church from 6 – 8 p.m. and a Rosary Service at 7 p.m. His funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Joseph Church on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Roy Runkle officiating. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park.
Active pallbearers are Charlie Watkins, grandson, Guy Collins, grandson-in-law, David Pongetti, friend, Tom McHugh, friend, Tom Bergob, nephew, and Lance Carter, nephew. Honorary pallbearers will be the Knights of Columbus.
The family wishes to thank Drs. Denis Raliegh, Edsel Holden, Stephen Phillips, Parag Patel, and Danny McFall; the CCU, surgery, first floor, ICU, and CTRU nurses, and supporting staff for all they did for our loved one. We appreciate your professionalism and devotion to your job. We also wish to thank Father Roy Runkle and parishioners and friends for comforting visits and prayers.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church building fund or the St. Joseph School Foundation.
