“These photographs are 30”x30” Hipstaprints taken last summer with my iPhone 5, IOS 7 using the Hipstamatic ap. This ap has

various digital films and lenses that can represent analog images, “ said Keller of her work. “The images are composed in the viewfinder and work on the images usually completed post-production can be done in the viewfinder as well, as the photo is taken. The results with my particular lens and film create super- saturated colors, high contrast, and are great for high light, outdoor shooting, where I find most of my inspiration.”

Keller prints through the iPhone ap on Fuji paper and builds her frames using recycled wood.  She adds, “I like the contract of textured, strongly lit subject against the grizzled border of the prints, then the contrast of the shiny paper of the print tn valley artagainst the ‘shabby chic’ rough wooden frames.”

The exhibition, Art of the State is on view now through March 7, 2014 at the Tennessee Valley Museum of Art in Tuscumbia, Alabama.
