FLORENCE-The Shoals Crisis Center is planning a new event for Halloween! We’re starting small this year, but if it goes well, I’m hoping to grow it into a much bigger event (potentially a full Halloween parade), so any publicity will help a lot. Have some spooky fun on Halloween weekend with Shoals Crisis Center! We’re hosting a Zombie and Costume Walk on October 29. All zombies, creatures, and ghouls will meet up at Rogers Hall at UNA to start the walk, and we’ll end at Mobile Plaza for a Halloween party that will include:
Pumpkin decorating
Costume contests (including for pets!)
The ultimate Thriller Dance Contest
Music
Door Prizes
And more!
ALL costumes are welcome (just remember that this is an all-ages event), so come as a zombie, a pumpkin, a superhero, or even just yourself in a giant hat. We just want to bring people together to celebrate Halloween! Entry into the walk and the after party is $10 for adults, $5 for children under 10, and free for pets! All proceeds will go to help Shoals Crisis Center provide services to local victims of sexual assault.
