Zoe Alice Chambliss McDow, age 82 of Athens, AL passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at her home. Mrs. McDow was born on February 23, 1937 in Russell County, AL to Julian Jebb Chambliss and Rosa Mildred Ferrell Chambliss.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Wallace McDow.
Mrs. McDow is survived by her daughters, Susan McDow Pugh and Mary Beth McDow Lambert; 7 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. McDow had a master’s degree in Biblical Therapy. She was a member of Lindsay Lane Baptist Church in Athens, AL and formerly on staff at Grace Church in Tuscaloosa, AL.
There will be a private family graveside service with Eric Pugh officiating. The public service for Mrs. McDow will be at Lindsay Lane Baptist Church on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at 1:00 PM with Dusty McLemore and Fred Schuckert officiating.
Pallbearers will be Jake Lambert, Cody Nave, Christopher Pugh, Jordan Pugh, Drew Downs and Jeremy Lambert. Honorary pallbearer is Ignacio Ortiz.
