Yvonne Jeanette McClellan Yvonne Jeanette McClellan (Judy)   of Saks, Alabama passed away peacefully on August 23, 2026  at the age of 80.  Surrounded by her 2 nieces Deb and Denise, caregiver Connie and sister n law Linda she peacefully made her trip to Heaven.

 Judy was met in Heaven by her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,  along  with her parents Carly B & Eunice C Smith, also the  love of her life, her husband David and 6 siblings, Mable Thrower, Ethel Custer,  William Smith, Millie Mosley,  LeRoy Smith  and Frieda Smith. 2 nephews Greg and Billy, and 3 nieces Pam, Kim and DeeDee.

 Judy  is survived by one son Scott McClellan (Cindy).  3 grandchildren Autumn, Brendan, and Bailey, 3 great grandchildren Jackson, Layla, and Conor.  She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and their spouses.

 Judy  was a graduate of OHS, she worked at the Anniston Star in the news room for many years until later becoming a  legal secretary.  After retiring she did part time deed work for attorneys in the area. She found enjoyment reading Amish stories,  watching Dr. Phil, Nancy Grace, and  reality shows.   After the death of her husband she started making blankets, sewing, loved shopping and making  the best homemade fudge and chicken n dumplings  around. Most of her enjoyment came from visits from her son and  grandchildren.

There will be a memorial service on Saturday August 29 at 1:00 p.m. at Light House Baptist Church, 400 W. 48th Street Anniston, Alabama  with Tom Rusk officiating.

The family would like to thank her Hospice nurses, and caregivers Connie, Allen and Teresa for taking care of Judy for the last few years.

Revelation 21:4  “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.”
