Wyvonie Cook Hughes, 82, of Owens Cross Roads, passed away Monday.
She was preceded in death by husband, Wayne C. Hughes, Sr., father, Thomas Jefferson Cook, mother, Bertha C. Holloway, and siblings, Grover B. Cook, McDonald Cook, Willard Cook and Verlon Cook.
Surviving are daughter, Teresa H. (Glen) Summerlin; son, Wayne C. (Heidi) Hughes, Jr.; special God sent family, granddaughter, Shayna Michelle (Shawn) Anderson; great grandson, Wyatt Michael Anderson and daughter, Gwen (Michael) Campbell; siblings, Wilbur J. (Sheila) Cook, Junior (Mary) Cook, and Dawell (Kathy) Hollaway and several nieces & nephews. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Bro. Toney and Susan Fleming and Heartlite Hospice for their loving care of their mother.
Visitation will be Saturday 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at New Hope Funeral Home. Services will be held at New Hope Funeral Home Chapel, Sunday at 2:00 pm with Bro. Tony Fleming officiating. Pallbearers will be Shawn Anderson, Tommy Cook, Melvin Cook, Michael Campbell, Trey Haney and Donald Day.
Interment will be in Moon Cemetery.
