Wyvnee McDonald – Obituary

Wyvnee McDonald, 82, went to be with her Lord and Savior at 10:40 a.m. on Wednesday, December 14, 2016, at the Pekin Hospital in Pekin, Illinois. She was born July 28, 1934, to Alvin and Nona Franks McCarty. She lived the majority of her life in Dorsey. She worked for Abbott Laboratories in Chicago and in the dietary department at Daniel Nursing Home. She enjoyed bowling and was an avid Chicago Bears fan. She had a forever loving effect on all her were fortunate to know her. Known for her sweet Southern warmth, kindness, and smile, she was truly loved and will be missed by all.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 21, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Mantachie. Burial will be in the Dorsey Memorial Cemetery.

Survivors include one son, Jack McDonald (Pam) of Winthrop Harbor, IL; one daughter, Julie Ann Estes (Jim) of Mackinaw, IL; one sister, Annie Ruth Kitchen of Tupelo; seven grandchildren, Jeremy, Kim, Jennifer, Krystal, Steven, Tiffany, and Ashley; and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. McDonald, Jr.; one son, Daniel McDonald; one daughter, Judy Gail McDonald; her parents; seven sisters; and three brothers.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, December 20, and from 9 a.m. until service time Wednesday, December 21, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Mantachie.
