Wydell Reed Wehunt, 83, Tuscumbia, passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2024. Visitation will be Monday, July 1, from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will immediately follow in the funeral home chapel with Ian Butler officiating. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Sheffield.
Wydell was preceded in death by her husband, Mike Reed; parents, Eva and Roscoe Schultz; and sister, Peggy Lott (Gerald).
She is survived by her children, Cindy Chard (Al), Kim Reed, and Charles Michael Reed, Jr.; brother, Wayne Gorman (Betty); seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be John Hyde, Tony Chard, Jeffrey Sekul, Jerry Lott, Adam Wilbanks, and Thomas Lindsey. Landon Hyde, Asher Hyde, Jase Wilbanks, and Summit Lindsey will serve as honorary pallbearers.
The family expresses special thanks to the staff of SouthernCare New Beacon Hospice and to sitter Carol Nelson.
