TUSCUMBIA-A woman was found dead inside a local business in Tuscumbia on Tuesday afternoon , July 11.
The death is under investigation by the Tuscumbia Police Department and this is being investigated as a homicide. The woman was found dead at McVantage Packaging located at the corner of Highway 72 and 43. Names of the victim and suspect have not been released due to the ongoing investigation.
According to Police Chief Tony Logan the homicide victim and a person taken into custody as a suspect knew each other. Logan also said he believed this was an isolated incident.
