DECATUR-The Decatur Police have been working on a case of Second Degree Theft.  They have arrested a suspect.

Here is how the Decatur Police describe events leading up to the arrest of one woman:

“SYNOPSIS OF OFFENSE & ARREST:
On March 2nd of 2015, Roger T. Clayton reported to the Decatur Police Department that a number of his personal checks were stolen, forged and subsequently cashed against his bank account. During the investigation, Bethany Ann Morris was developed as a suspect.
On April 2nd of 2015, Bethany Ann Morris was located, transported to and interviewed at the police department. As a result, Bethany Ann Morris was charged with one count of Second Degree Theft. Morris was then processed into the Decatur City Jail. There are other unrelated charges pending against Morris in the City of Decatur Municipal Court. One those charges are resolved, Morris will be transferred to the Morgan County Jail in lieu of a $2,500 bond.
Second Degree Theft is a Class C Felony.”
