Wm. Rethal Hightower 81 of Decatur passed away April 29, 2016 at his residence. The Funeral will be Monday at 11:00 am at West Hartselle Baptist Church. Mr. Hightower will lie in state for one hour prior to the service at the church. Visitation will be Sunday from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Peck Funeral Home. Burial will be in Piney Grove Cemetery with Bro. Jack Redfearn, Bro. Bryan Blass and Dr. Rob Jackson officiating. Peck Funeral Home will direct.
Mr. Hightower was born in Lawrence County to William Asa Hightower and Sarah Parilee Aaron Hightower on December 16, 1934. He was a Manager and Dispatcher for USF Dugan.
He was preceded by his parents.
