With The Help of Hoss Limestone County Deputies Make Arrest Following Threats and Attempted Elude

LIMESTONE COUNTY-At approximately 11:40 a.m. on October 24, 2025, deputies with the Limestone County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call for service in the 18000 block of Highway 99 regarding a subject who had called 911 and made threats to kill his ex-girlfriend.

Upon deputies’ arrival, the suspect fled on foot into a wooded area north of Highway 99 and south of Edgewood Road.

Sheriff Joshua McLaughlin deployed K-9 Hoss and the Drone Unit to assist with the search.

Deputy Caleb Johnson and K-9 Hoss tracked north through the wooded area and successfully located the suspect, identified as Caleb Justin Chriswell, approximately one mile from the initial scene. Chriswell was taken into custody without incident.
Initial charges against Chriswell include False Reporting to Law Enforcement and Attempting to Elude. As the investigation continues, additional charges may be filed.
