Winifred M. Crute, 91, of Huntsville, died peacefully on Thursday. Wini was born in Okolona, MS, and graduated from the University of Alabama in 1948. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church.
Wini was preceded in death by her husband, Charles A. Crute, Sr., her parents, Winston and Mary Evelyn Murphree, and brother, Winston H. Murphree, Jr. Survivors include her children, Melissa Brinkley, Charles A. Crute, Jr., and Martha Poellnitz; six grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, February 26 at Maple Hill Cemetery, with her nephew, the Rev. Aaron Fleming officiating.
