Winford Joe Wright, age 82 of Belvidere, passed away on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at Southern Tennessee Regional Health Systems. He was born in Lincoln County on December 20, 1937 to the late S.J. and Rosabelle (Scott) Wright. Joe retired as a mechanic after forty-six years of service. After retirement, he drove a school bus for the Franklin County School System. He enjoyed woodworking, watching hummingbirds and old westerns, and spending time with his four-legged best friend, Sparky. When he was able, Joe attended Walnut Grove Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Robin Wright; and brother-in-law, Billy Kelly. He is survived by his loving wife of eighteen years, Peggy Wright; children, Michael “Mike” Wright of Cowan, James Douglas (Cathy) Wright of Lynchburg, Ricky Jay (Jayda) Wright of Winchester, and Daniel Joseph (Beth) Wright of Peru, Indiana; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Zora Kelly of Belvidere, and Carolyn (George) Cook of Huntland; and several nieces and nephews.
