FLORENCE – Traffic across Wilson Dam on South Cox Creek Parkway/North Wilson Dam Road near Florence will be closed to car and pedestrian traffic starting June 22 through July 24. The road will re-open for the 4th of July weekend.
A complete closure is necessary for the safety of motorists, pedestrians and maintenance crews while TVA performs a health check of the dam. TVA appreciates the public’s understanding and asks pedestrians to not cross any posted barricade or caution tape.
In the event of bad weather, the work may be extended or rescheduled. Signs will be placed on both sides of the bridge and gates will be in place.
