Wilma Maxine Norris better known as Pinkie of Pulaski, TN passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2026. She was born in Mount Clare, West Virginia on April 10, 1931, and was 94 years old.
Pinkie was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and sister whose greatest joy in life was caring for her family. An avid cook, Pinkie found happiness in the kitchen. She also had a passion for traveling. Pinkie spent her 70th birthday in Italy as a solo traveler. She took a solo train trip from Ohio to Washington State as well. She also visited Brazil and Hawaii. Just for the fun of it, she once spent an entire month in Nevada working as a cook on a ranch. Always ready for her next adventure, she even convinced a friend to take her up in a stunt plane, where she enjoyed loop-de-loops high in the sky. Known for being very opinionated, she never hesitated to speak her mind.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Wilma was preceded in death by, her husband, Thomas H. Norris, and her parents, Clarence Myers and Suellen Freeman Myers.
