Wilma Lee Malone, of Tuscumbia, passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at the age of 91. Her visitation will be Thursday, September 21, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will be Friday, September 22, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Joey Counce officiating. She will be buried in Oakwood Cemetery, Tuscumbia.
Wilma was a native of Tuscumbia and a member of the Colbert Heights Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Malone; son, Charles Wilburn Malone; parents, C. W. Mitchell and Callie Joe Mitchell; brother, Floyd Mitchell; and sisters, Velma Mitchell and Dorothy Gotcher.
She is survived by her son, Bobby Malone (Sue); daughter, Brenda Hester (Larry); grandchildren, Shawn Malone (Lisa) and Steven Hester (Teresa); and great-grandchildren, Seth and Shaylee Hester and Drew and Trevor Malone.
Pallbearers will be Shawn Malone, Steven Hester, Trevor Malone, Brad Counce, Lawrence Jr Kimbrough, and Greg Bond. Honorary pallbearers will be her great-grandchildren, Drew Malone, Seth Hester, and Shaylee Hester.
The family would like to thank the Helen Keller staff on the 3rd and 4th floors, Cottage of the Shoals, and Dr. Brad McAnalley and his staff.
