Wilma Kay Sterling Leath, age 86, of Fort Payne, passed away January 29, 2025. Mrs. Leath was born in Cherokee County on November 20, 1938 to the late Grady Coy and Myrtle Burt Sterling. She was employed as the office manager of Johnson Hosiery Mill where she retired with 33 years of service and was a member of Asbury Christian Fellowship Church.
Funeral services will be 2:00pm Saturday at the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Darrell Morgan officiating. Burial will follow in the Glenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 5:00 until 8:00pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations be made to Asbury Christian Fellowship Church.
Mrs. Leath is survived by her husband of 67 years, Milton L. Leath, Jr; children, Glenn Leath (Patricia) and Cindy Hill (Wade); brother, Joe Sterling (Linda); sister, Sadie Davis; grandchildren, Jon Hill (Millicent), Amy Jo Santiago (Toog), and Joshua Leath (Karlie Stroup); and 10 great-grandchildren.
