Wilma Inez RichardWilma Inez Richard was born in Cullman on December 12, 1942, to Carris and Syble Johnson.
She graduated from West Point High School in 1960, and continued to live in Trimble for the
remainder of her days with her husband of 56 years, William “Bill” Richard. During her lifetime,
Wilma worked at the King Edward Cigar Plant, where she met the love of her life, Bill, as well as
T.G. and Y, Piggly Wiggly, and Americold. She was a passionate believer of God and attended
Cornerstone Church in Cullman. She was sister to Gail Hill, Dennis Johnson, and Jimmy
Johnson. She was mother to William “Darin”, Aaron “Keith”, and Jeremy as well as
mother-in-law to Melissa, Kendra, and Brandé. She was also a proud Grandmother to Machiela,
William “Tyler”, Austin, Robert “Colton”, Micah, Alyssa, Caitlin, Morgan, and Huck as well as to
those closest to Austin, Colton, and Alyssa: Meda Jordan, Hannah Sumner, and Quinton
Williams. She loved with all her heart and had a fighting spirit, even as she faced the end of her
life on Earth. God blessed her with a beautiful life full of love, happiness, and family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Carris and Syble (Campbell) Johnson.
She is survived by her husband: William “Bill” Richard. Her children: William “Darin” (Melissa)
Richard, Aaron “Keith” (Kendra) Richard, and Jeremy (Brandé) Richard. Her grandchildren:
Machiela Richard, William “Tyler” Richard, Austin Richard, Robert “Colton” Richard, Micah
Richard, Alyssa Richard, Caitlin Richard, Morgan Richard, and Huck Graham. Her sister, Gail
Hill, and her brothers, Dennis (Wazanta) Johnson and Jimmy (Ruth) Johnson. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews that she loved very much.

Funeral service will be Thursday, May 21st, 2020 at Cullman Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Cullman City Cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday from 12-2 at the funeral home.
