Mrs. Wilma Holmes, age 84, passed away early Wednesday at her home in Middlefork. She was born January 19, 1939 in Chester County to the late John and Rowena White Bright. She was a garment worker retired from Chester County Sportswear. She loved gardening and taking care of her grandchildren and was an excellent cook. Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Mr. Riley Holmes; her son, Richie Holmes (Melissa); two daughters, Lisa Holmes Martin and Kristie Lee Belcher; her sister, Mae Sue Bowman; and ten grandchildren.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1 PM, Friday, October 13, 2023, in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home in Lexington. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Cemetery
