Funeral service for Wilma E. Evans, 98, will be Sunday, May 6, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Shiloh Baptist Church with Dr. Charles Owens officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Shiloh Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, May 6, 2018 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Shiloh Baptist Church.
Mrs.Evans died on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. She was born September 8, 1919, in Jackson County to John Blankenship and Lela Josie Maggart Blankenship. She was a Dairy Farmer prior to retiring and was a longtime mentor to many and a friend to even more. She was an active member of Shiloh Baptist Church for 70 years. She was preceded in death by her husband: Dick Evans, her son: Haskell Evans and longtime friend: Bob Spurlin.
